I was so excited to finally get to wear my wool shorts that I purchased back in May during one of Value Village's half off sales (they are my favourite time to scoop up great labels at great deals). This black hat was also one of my amazing Value Village finds. Wide brimmed hats are very much in style this season, but I was not willing to pay $50 for this seasons version. You can imagine how excited I was to only pay $3.50 for this one!

According to a guy on the bus yesterday I looked artsy, which is a little different from my usual preppy duds. However I am very much in love with this combo, the subtle pattern in the wool shorts and the black and white strips add visual interest to the outfit. I kept everything else with in the same colour palete to keep the two patterns as the main visual interest.
