I was lucky enough a few weekends ago to have a mini getaway with the man to Vancouver. He was sailing for two weeks, but they ported in for the weekend. So I hopped on the Ferry to spend the weekend with him. Travelling to Vancouver from Victoria is super convenient and cheap if you just walk on. There is a bus that comes to the ferry terminal and takes you straight to the sky train on the Vancouver end.

All I brought with me was my tote and a backpack so I needed to maximize my outfits. Sneakers were an obvious choice because of all the walking I knew I would be doing. I am not usually one to pair sneakers with a skirt, but this skirt has a more casual vibe than most of the skirts I wear. I actually really loved the skirt with the half tucked stripped tank and denim jacket. Although it was s warm Saturday that I didn't have to wear my jacket for most of the day.

Sunday I traveled back home. It was much cooler that day so I opted for cropped distressed jeans. However to keep the look cute and polished I added one of my favourite summer tanks. I love the the peplum and eyelet detailing on the bottom of the top. It takes a basic tank and makes it more girlie than it would be other wise. I think the girlie top and the more casual bottoms and sneakers make for a great weekend travel look. Comfortable and chic, who could ask for more.

I am definitely looking forward to more impromptu weekend getaways in the near future. I will of course keep you posted on the great outfits I come up with,
