LWD (Little White Dress)

Dress - Gift from mom/ Bag - Danier/ Expression Shoes - Hudson's Bay

As many of you know the Island has been experiencing a major heat wave. Most days have been in the high 20's and low 30's. It is usually in mid 20's with some warmer days. However it has been a whole week of this weather and it feels like summer is finally here. It definitly has made getting dressed for work a bit of a challenge. I need to make sure that I still look put together and polished for work, but also need to stay cool on my way to and from work on the bus.

Unfortuantly with the last years weight gain a lot of my summer clothing from last year don't fit great. However I didn't really want to go out and buy a ton of new stuff as I am working hard to try and get back to the old me. This dress was a gift from my mom as she knew I could use something new and pretty. The best part is is that it will still fit one I get back in shape as it had a stretchy waist band. This dress is so cute with its fit and flare shape, and eyelet detailing on the bust. I also love that it is collard and half button up. It embodies that 50's flare with out having the inconvenience of having buttons all the way down. To keep the with the vintage vibe of the dress I chose my metallic and snake print sandals. For some reason they remind me of something that women would have wore in the 70's perhaps it is the block heel. Finally to carry all my stuff back and forth (and believe me there is a lot of stuff in this bag) I chose my beautiful Danier tote.
