As many of you may have noticed the usually mild West Coast weather turned in to our equivalent of a deep freeze for about two weeks. Although it has warmed up substantially the threat of the cold weather still looms. However to be totally honest I would rather it be cold than pouring so I would welcome it.

This was from one of the first cold days we had this month ( as you can tell by the bare legs). This dress is a personal favourite with its 60's vintage vibe and its beautiful eyelet pattern. I chose to pair it with my new navy flats. They are so cute with a pointed toe and a bow. To be very honest it was the bow that made me fall in total love with them. A patent navy shoe is actually fairly uncommon to find so I was very thrilled when I found these on sale at Winners. Although they are currently one of my favourite pairs of shoes I have found it hard to mix them into my winter wardrobe as most of my bottoms are black. Yes, I am one of those people who dislikes mixing black and navy. I find they look to close and sometimes it feels like you didn't realize they were different colours.
