At the end of July I packed my bags and travelled across the country to New Brunswick. Although I was born and raised on the West Coast, by second home is definitly on the East Coast. My parents are both from New Brunswick so as children we used to go back every summer to visit family.
I hadn't been back in seven years, and it was long over due. My parents were also heading back this year for the big LeBlanc family reunion, so I decided to bite the bullet and buy a ticket.
Its been a while since I've flown but I always know to wear layering pieces and boy am I glad I did. My flight was delayed three and a half hours leaving Victoria which resulted in me missing both flights from Toronto to Moncton. I then preceded to spend my night in the Toronto Airport because the Air Canada was out of hotel rooms for the evening. I just kept telling myself to be thankful that I wasn't traveling with small children as there were so many young families. After what was supposed to be an 8 hours travel day turned into over 24 hours with all the delays and rerouted flights.
As much of a gong show it was to get there once I was there the rest of trip was fairly smooth sailing.
More trip posts to come,
Jade
