Shopping in Downtown Vancouver

At the end of August my brother and his girlfriend bought tickets for us to attend a High Valley (Country concert) at the PNE. Of course his girlfriend and I asked if we could go over early to take advantage of all the shop they have that we don't on the island.

We mapped out where we wanted to go shopping so that we could get maximum shopping time with as little driving around as possible. We decided that because the concert and hotel were both downtown that we would hit up those shops first.

When ever I go to Vancouver I always try and dress a little more "high end" than I might around the island. I think it's because when I am browsing through Nordstrom and Holt Renfrew I wanna look like I can afford all the expensive brands.

I always love the look of dressed up denim cut offs so that's what I based my outfit around. I chose this polka dot blouse for some visual interest and to dress up the cut offs. Next I chose my favourite sandals. There dressed up but low enough of a heel to roam around the city in comfort. I topped it off with this white short sleeved trench. I'm actually kind of obsessed with it. It looks so chic and is the perfect alternative to a cardigan.
