Pleather and Faux Fur Layers

Lately I have been trying to step up my style game. For such a long time I wasn't able to wear things that touched or pressed on my abdomen due to the discomfort from my gallbladder and after its removal. The month of November however I started to notice that I could wear more form fitting clothing and it was no longer uncomfortable. Although I wouldn't consider this super formfitting it hits at my natural waist which for a long time was a sore spot.

Pairing a vest with skirts and dresses has become a favourite way to layer recently. It doesn't get overly cold here in the fall but it is always nice to have an extra layer sometimes. I think the grey vest takes an otherwise pretty classic outfit and gives it a little edge. I think its funny because I have always thought of faux fur vests as a risky fashion piece. They can either look super chic or totally tacky. There really is no in between with them, so I always worried about looking tacky instead of chic. However I find that keeping everything else streamline and classic really help.
