Hey Everyone,

As you might have noticed I have been on major hiatus the past while. I kind of forgot how busy I am with school, not to mention I took on significantly more coaching time and was still trying to work four days a week and my optical job. Needless to say something had to give and it had to be blogging. However this semester I intend to try and make more of effort to keep you guys updated on what this Diva on a Dime has been wearing, and all the amazing deals I am finding.

I figured I would start with posting a couple of the outfits I wore over the holiday season. There two outfits that I felt I got creative with pieces I already had in my wardrobe which is key to being a Diva on a budget.

The skirt and blouse combo wasn't a ground breaking pairing for me, it is simple and something that didn't take a lot of creativity. However I wanted to try and wear pieces in my closet that I wouldn't typically wear on a daily basis. The first thing that came to mind was this faux fur jacket. I got it close to two years ago and still hadn't worn it. Vancouver Island isn't much of a fashion city and I have always been a little self conscious of wearing things that would make me stand out. I have been trying to make an effort though to wear what I want to wear instead of worrying about others, and I decided a holiday party was the perfect time to debut my fuzzy jacket. It turned out to be a big hit at the party. Finally were these pom pom boots. They unintentionally matched my blouse which made for what looked like a very well coordinated ensemble.
