Festive for the Office

Last holiday post I swear, this one was just too good not to post though as I received serval complements from clients. As silly as that sounds it is always reassuring to have someone complement what you are wearing. As you might have noticed I am all about layering, especially with collared shirts and turtlenecks. Not only is it a chic way to add visual interest to an outfit, it also stretches your wardrobe across seasons.

This rich red colour always makes me think of the holidays. I'm not sure why as most people would associate a bright red like Santa's suit to the season. I layered this checkered shirt under the dress to add a preppy vibe to the outfit. I am usually not one to add necklaces to outfits but the weeks leading up to Christmas I was trying to dress more festive and a little dressier to celebrate the season. I think this necklace added the perfect amount of visual interest to take an otherwise preppy outfit to the next level.
