Navy and Floral

French Connection Sweater - Winners/ Floral Pants - Gap Factory/ Shoes - Winners

Although the weather on the west coast has been super wet and gloomy the past month I have been desperately trying to find ways to brighten things up. What better way than a bright pair of floral pants? I have been obsessed with these pants from the moment I spotted them last year. I love that floral is more mature than some floral patterns, which lends an air of sophistication to the otherwise bold pant.

In the spring I usually pair these pants with white blouses so that pants can take centre stage. However I didn't want the outfit to look out of place amongst all the dark colours we associate with the winter months. I chose to play off the navy leaves in the pants and pair it with this cut out sweater. I think the combo, like that white lets the pants take centre stage but keeps the outfit a little moodier.
